BossBaeb: Amy Rene

About Amy:

Amy Rene makes the most out of the 24 hours she is given. She is the co-owner of The Connection Concierge, an authentic outreach and consulting agency that links Tri-Cities businesses and consumers through social media platforms. She is also the owner of HYPETHETRI which helps connect the community to local businesses. Amy’s extensive resume doesn’t end there. She also is a professional makeup artist, artist educator, and beauty event host through her business, Amy Rene Makeup Artistry.

When she is not busy promoting local businesses and helping her community look and feel their best, she is clocking in at Columbia Basin College as the Director for Students Support Services and an Adjunct Faculty. She attained her Master’s degree in Leadership Administration and Bachelors’ degree in Comparative Education from Washington State University. Making a positive impact by helping people set and reach their goals is what drives her passion in all these different areas. This is what makes Amy Rene a BossBaeb.

BossBaeb Questions:

What inspires you?

People and the idea that one conversation could spark a positive trickle effect on someone’s life.

What is your personal mission statement?

Be the leader you wish you had.

How do you conquer your fears?

I absolutely have fear, but that’s a normal part of being human.  Be clear about knowing what you want, create a plan, and TAKE ACTION.  Fear is normal, but I don’t let that stop me from doing things anyway.

What is one piece of advice for women who want to succeed in life?

Oh man, there are so many things I’ve learned and continue to learn.

Know that there is room for everyone at the top.  Cheer for others.

Identify what success is to you.  This is something personal because success is defined differently for everyone. How will you know you’ve reached what you’re striving for unless you know specifically what you’re after?  Be as specific as possible and plan to pivot A LOT along the way.

Ask for help from people you respect.  One person can’t do it all.

Expect things not to go according to plan.  Be adaptable, open minded, and find people to surround yourself with that are smarter than you.  It’s like that saying “if you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.”
